Explore the meditative art of Japanese calligraphy in this hands on class. Shodo is a specialized art using a brush and black ink to write Japanese characters. The art involves not only accurate composition of characters, but also the way the brush is handled in their creation, the shading of the ink, and the balanced placement of the characters on the paper. This monthly workshop is open to students of all levels, from first-time beginners through experienced practitioners.
